MAX SMITH
Managing Attorney
Born and raised in Texas, Thomas Maxwell "Max" Smith is as comfortable on the ranch as he is in the courtroom. A resident of Meridian, Texas, Max enjoys spending time in his local community. A graduate of Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Max went on to earn his undergraduate degree in History from Southwestern University in 2013. A sports enthusiast, he also played for the University's baseball team.
Max's academic journey took him west to Lubbock, Texas, where he received an M.B.A. from Texas Tech's Rawls College of Business in 2014 and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2018. Max's broad approach to the law began early on, with the belief that law is a “seamless web.” This perspective guided him in his professional journey, leading him to practice across a range of areas to offer comprehensive legal representation.
Admitted to the Texas bar in 2018, Max practiced with a Fort Worth law firm for a year before venturing out on his own. He is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and the United States District Court of the Northern District of Texas.
Max's ties to the local area extend beyond his legal practice. Today, he and his wife are active in maintaining the tradition of the family farm and small cattle operation.
Max's understanding of the North and Central Texas legal and cultural landscape uniquely positions him to provide grounded, effective legal services to the community. Whether it's setting up a business entity, drafting a will, navigating a family law or criminal defense issue, or advocating for a client who has been injured in an accident, Max strives to serve his community with dedication and diligence.
